Courage For Youth was chosen as the 2013 recipient of Landmark’s Tree of Hope Grant!! We are extremely grateful for this gift and are excited to put the money back into the community! Because of this gift we are able to offer our Voices and Scream program at lower costs this year 🙂 We are excited to begin delivering these programs to more students!
If you are interested in having Voices or S.C.R.E.A.M ran in your son/daughter’s elementary school or through another organization please contact me at:
After the Grade 5 female students at Glenmore Elementary School completed the Voices program they took their knowledge and created a presentation for the grade 3 students in their school. The grade 5’s talked to the younger students about communication, positive thinking, being a powerful bystander, and how to have healthy friendships.
Afer talking about good friendships, the grade 3’s each chose a friendship trait that was most important to them and wrote it on a strip of paper. These strips were linked together to form a Friendship Chain, which hangs in the hallway of their school as a reminder of all the pieces of a great friendship.
